Morrow County is located in central Ohio.  In 1997, its population was 31,080 and is expected to increase to 37,760 by 2015.  Median age in the county has increased from 29.0 (1980) to 33.0 (1990).

In 1996, per capita income was $15,834, 67% of Ohio's average; and in 1995, the poverty rate was 13%, 87% of Ohio's average.

In 1996, the manufacturing sector was the largest employer in the county and also the largest source of payroll.  In 1993, the largest source of value added, a broad measure of income, was the manufacturing sector contributing an estimated $73 million to Morrow County's economy.

Agriculture is a major industry in the county.  In 1997 crop receipts were $35,823,000 and livestock receipts were $11,116,000 from 770 farms with a total of 170,000 acres of land.  Hogs accounted for the largest livestock income and soybeans were the largest cash crop.
