A wide variety of recreational facilities are available in the County and within an easy drive.  The rural attractiveness is especially conducive to outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, swimming, camping, golfing, and observing wildlife in its natural state.  Facilities and activities within the County or located nearby include:

Fairs & Festivals

The Morrow County Fair is rated as one of the finest in Ohio.  It features livestock, machinery, horse racing, tractor pulls, amusement rides, concessions, and displays by youths and adults.

The "World's Largest Gourd Show" is an annual festival held each October at the Morrow County fairgrounds.  It attracts exhibitors and participants from across the nation.  Over 10,000 people attend each year.

Heritage Days is the theme of a festival produced annually by the village of Chesterville.  One of the highlights is an old time medicine show.

Mount Gilead State Park sponsors several events such as Peddlers in the Park (craft show & flea market), Cool Nights and Hot Rods (car show), the Apple Butter Festival, and in November, Snow Flake Festival.

"Farm Days" sponsored by The Antique Tractor Association each year showcases antique tractors and farm equipment at the Morrow County fairgrounds.

Oktoberfest is sponsored by the Morrow County Chamber of Commerce and is held during the World's largest Gourd Show weekend in Mount Gilead.
